AB 48 - The Private Postsecondary Education Act
Bill Summary: Recasts and revises the former Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education Reform Act of 1989 as the Private Postsecondary Education Act of 2009. Establishes the Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education. Continues the Student Tuition Recovery Fund. Provides for actions for violations of the act. Requires reports. Imposes various fees in connection with a private postsecondary institution's approval to operate. Deposits the fees in the Private Postsecondary Education Administration Fund.
